Appropriate day for the first confession. Happy Earth day, and Easter everyone. Colorado is little chilly and snow flakes flying around, but I have not killed one plants since I have planted them four weeks ago. Good effort so far.
Originally, I started this project trying to save some money growing my own vegetables. After purchasing all starters and seeds, I think I spend more money than actual supermarket prices for veges. As I stated, I don't have a green thumb in any shape or form. I killed many, many, many plants - decorative in a house or my front and back yard grass (yeap, it is brown all right). So, this is really hard for me to challenge myself, whether even I can do this or not. Last year, I purchased two Tomato plants to plant in the planter (paid $2.50 each). I think I got one Tomato.
This year, I'm educating myself, bought books/magazines/online articles (yes, I'm spending more money here...) that someday, I will succeed. I can do this - not that I will have a farmer's market type of produce, but I will have more than one Tomato in the yard. That will be my goal. Help me sunshine, help me rain and help me earth... I will return green thing (other than weeds) back to your home.
Hope you see me succeed... I'll post update periodically, so I can provide you with evidence of not killing another plants.... Thanks for your support...
