I was going to talk about spending money on starters. Seeds were pretty good prices, including $1 store 4 seed packs for a dollar. Not bad, I might say... However!!, if you talk about dirt, dirt are never cheap. Who came up with the saying about "dirt cheap" prices.... lier... Those wonderful people at Jiffy and Miracle-Gro must make a fortune from suckers like me. Well, I really like their products, so I shouldn't complain. And, it is my decision to use these products, & nobody else force me to do it, unfortunately, so I can not blame anybody else. Darn.
Also, I had to look good outside, so I bought this.... New Boots!! Wonderful Target had a sale!!. Again, a suburbia sucker talking. But, those boots itself makes my vegetable grow prettier, right??? Yeah, right.
So now, I'm ready for planting outside. Dirt is ready, my hat and gloves are ready - and my new boots!! Com'on Sunshine!! Stop being cold already!! I can't wait that 65 degree weather. I'm ready.
This is a journals of my recovery effort from all the plants I have nurtured unsccessfully. So here I am recording/cataloging step by step effort to make a fruits of my labor flourish in front of the public this year. Hope help is out there…

The first cofession
Appropriate day for the first confession. Happy Earth day, and Easter everyone. Colorado is little chilly and snow flakes flying around, but I have not killed one plants since I have planted them four weeks ago. Good effort so far.
Originally, I started this project trying to save some money growing my own vegetables. After purchasing all starters and seeds, I think I spend more money than actual supermarket prices for veges. As I stated, I don't have a green thumb in any shape or form. I killed many, many, many plants - decorative in a house or my front and back yard grass (yeap, it is brown all right). So, this is really hard for me to challenge myself, whether even I can do this or not. Last year, I purchased two Tomato plants to plant in the planter (paid $2.50 each). I think I got one Tomato.
This year, I'm educating myself, bought books/magazines/online articles (yes, I'm spending more money here...) that someday, I will succeed. I can do this - not that I will have a farmer's market type of produce, but I will have more than one Tomato in the yard. That will be my goal. Help me sunshine, help me rain and help me earth... I will return green thing (other than weeds) back to your home.
Hope you see me succeed... I'll post update periodically, so I can provide you with evidence of not killing another plants.... Thanks for your support...
